Optimistic Possibities

I listen to a massive amount of music! So I'm going to coin the phrase "The Good,The Bad,& The Ugly" to rate albums or mixtapes. I'm not a critic so I'm only going to state how the album or mixtape spoke to me & how it came across. This week's mixtape is "Tyga:Outraged & Underage" You may know him for that coconut song. See I don't always judge artists by first impressions, cause they try to market themselves and come out with a radio friendly single! If I was to go off first impressions I'd probably would have never listened to this mixtape, but he's a new artist so it intrigues me to see them at they full potential.(Usually with mixtapes artist are able to be themselves and not have to cater to the music industry)
Tyga is signed to Young Money Ent. (which is Lil Wayne's record imprint)& hails from Cali.
So the albums intro has a different approach then others,It starts with this interview with Charles Manson with "Blueprint 2" instrumental setting the background & then Tyga lets some steam off his chest.
Now this isn't your usual mixtape! There is different elements involved, cause after the intro he comes with a completely different approach. With the title "The Window" He comes across more personal & sincere, less outraged. But after that song it's "Breaktime" (feating Lil Wayne) where he proves he not your usual teenie bopper,& shows that he can rhyme with the best without being out shined! Next introduces Amber Melody on "Smoke Dro" where she sings a melody bout my favorite recreation habit. After getting lifted, I hear "You start up again I'ma drop you like a bad habit, YOU HEAR THAT....test tube baby!"which ends up being the intro to....you guessed it "Test Tube Baby" Which is enjoyable to listen to but on the hook he sounds a lil bit like Slim Shady. Now this next track is my favorite, Which is called "Live Forever"

But my other favorite is "Cali Love" where he represents his home. In the hook sayin "Snoop is getting old and pac is really gone but what happened to the Cali love" With that said I'll end on that note! The mixtape is a mixture of genres! & I really enjoyed this mixtape! I feel like he's somebody to watch out for.So keep your eyes peeled for Tyga!
I give this mixtape: THE GOOD!
The Good:An album/mixtape that surpasses my expectations. Something innovative & fresh! Doesn't lack lyrical ability & has strong quality topic concepts.
The Bad: An album/mixtape that met my expectations. Somewhat different but still could of came harder! Not a bad album/mixtape still enjoyable to listen too.
& The Ugly:Didn't come significantly close to my expectation.Ears bleeding!
100% Pure Garbage! Not lyrical at all. STOP! Everyone is not cut out to be an emcee!

Shout outs to the whole Young Money Family(Lil Wayne, Tyga, Drake, Nikki Minaj, Jae Millz,& Mack Maine)Also look out for this mixtape

Domestically Sophisticated

Now I may be wrong in this next blog and by the title and picture you know where I'm going! But I could of placed the picture of Rihanna's battered up face instead!(unlike TMZ who felt the need to brand the picture with there logo like it was a muthafucking Maybelline ad) Now I'm not big into celebrities lifestyles & bizness cause it doesn't concern me! But it was like after hearing about the whole ordeal, Almost everyone I knew was getting locked up on domestic violence charges! Like the whole world had gone mad and said "Fuck it,If Chris Brown can hit Rihanna why can't I smack my bitch?"
So I paused and thought real careful on how to address this subject! Now what surprised me the most was this...

And this...

Now I'm sure you all heard the rumors! She gave him herpes....He was cheating on her with Paris...blah blah blah! What I want to know is who makes this shit up and how does EVERYONE hear the same rumors. But back on subject, Oprah & Jay Z? Honestly when I first heard about this, I brushed it off. But it evolved into this phenomenon and was everywhere I turned. But the true beauty in all of this was...Even after all this mess, they still got back together! It was like they told the whole world "FUCK YOU" Even after the threat (Jay Z) Even after being warned that he would eventually hit her again (Oprah) they said "FUCK YOU"..."now that's a beautiful thang that's if you're on top of your game and man enough to handle real life situations [that is]
Can't gamble feeding baby on that dope money might not always be sufficient but the United Parcel Service & the people at the Post Office didn't call you back bec
ause you had cloudy piss So now you back in the trap just that, trapped Go on and marinate on that for a minute"

I don't really have a point in all this..as I said before I don't get sucked into the media! I just wanted to rant bout completely nothing in particular! I guess one message I'd like to get across is...STOP WASTING YOUR TIME WITH CELEBRITY GOSSIP! ARE YOU BORED? HAVE NOTHING TO TALK? NO CONVERSATION? WELL.....forget it!

P.S.A brought to you by Hollywood "H2o" Cold
Just wanted to take this moment to give out my "FUCK YOU"

Introducing Tekh Togo

For those who know me, know that one of my favorite artist isn't one you see on TV. But if you were to come to my city, Grand Rapids,MI...Here you will meet Tekh Togo! I'll let him tell you who he is & what he represents.

Tekh Togo:
Some artists breathe life into art, some artists breathe art into life, while on very rare occasions others allow life and art to breathe into them. This is where you find Tekh Togo. In the same way that a painter paints, or a sculptor sculpts, artist Tekh Togo makes masterpieces. In an era of music where the last thing that today’s artists reflect on is the art and elements in which hip hop was built, Tekh Togo stands, and always has stood in his own lane. Togo (as he is often referred) has been making music regardless to the fact that the classics he has contributed in his home town, have only been exposed to the hip hop heads in the city of Grand Rapids, Michigan...Welcome to Gun Rule. Tekh Togo who was initially known as The Technician was a major spearhead for hip hop in the early 90's in this Dutch West Michigan city. The Technician blossomed into a major pillar in hip hop in the infamous Wallabee era of rap. Being influenced by artists Jimi Hendrix, Nas, The Wu Tang Clan, AZ, Mobb Deep, and producers, The Rza, Diamond D, DJ Premier, and Dr. Dre, Togo’s sound is a gluttonous concoction of hip hops finest ingredients and elements ie., the swagger of a true B Boy? check, Thought provoking lyrical content? check, Neck breaking beats? check, and oh yea the fashion sense of an individual that already made it. Tekh Togo, enter stage right. While still under the moniker The Technician, Togo aligned himself with a few other artists and formed the alliance “The Madd Team” in the early 90s (Madd team consists of The Technician, Mad Wayne, Civi Mahdi, Dead Drunk, and Lucky). Under the Madd Team alliance, The Technician crafted the classic Black City (which is tentatively set for re-release in 2007), The Theatrical Trailer, amongst a string of other projects that allowed Tekh the adoration of individuals who encountered his art. Fast forward into time, things changed. Music has taken a different turn that some may argue wasn’t the best move, but the move was made regardless. As time progressed, Gun Rule representative DJ Head who grew up under Tekh has formed BlokHead ENT which Tekh has worked with over the years in hopes of returning the game to its once prized state. Add in the changes the Madd Team has taken, and you still find an individual who has remained over the years while continuing to grow as a man and an artist. Tekh Togo has performed in several states with his unique sound including California, Illinois, and parts of Michigan. The work has always been put in, and now the exposure is next in line...Pangea Incorp, enter stage left. Tekh Togo is an extremely important factor to the Pangea movement and through this movement, individuals who all respect and enjoy his craft support and expose his art to those who may not have been able before. So far so good. In June 2006, Tekh Togo began to record what is now “Tekh Togo Collection: Dark Edition(hosted by DJ Head of BlokHead ENT).” After receiving a cd filled with over 80 instrumentals, Togo began to craft the classic that was released in October of 2006. Showing his growth and ability to deliver over classic instrumentals and loops, Tekh served 19 songs with themes ranging from women, world domination, Persévérer™, women, and a host of other things that allow him to remain relevant without dumbing down his content. Tekh Togo is steadily working on his latest full length LP “Paint by Chico Kiabotchi” which is slated for a mid to late 2007 release. In between then, Togo will be releasing The Chemical Ali mixtape in 2007. A lover of Prada sneaks, and Versace glasses, Togo is a throwback futurama and the music reflects this and his disposition supports this. Reader, enter into the chamber..check!!

SUPERJAIL

What this show is about: The Warden has created this factious prison system!(He kind of resembles Willy Wonka.) He's staff is made up of Jared (a recovering alcoholic, who is neglected and treated poorly), Alice(who is actually a man dressed as women and he/she is the corrections officer of Superjail), & Jailbot(who is this robot who's abilities are endless!) Every episodes starts off with Jack Knife committing some type of crime and ends up being detained by Jailbot!
(Which in this episode is my favorite intro!)
At the end of every episode there is some mayhem & chaos! Where the inmates violently find unique ways of killing each other! This show is very demented and funny at the same time! Now maybe all of you may not find this material funny or entertaining but it beats watching those ridiculous played out reality shows! All I watch on TV is Adultswim...Yes they are cartoons or anime but that's all I watch! Other then that I'm writing, working, playing with my kids, or playing Gears of War online! Which is my favorite video game!

MAKE SURE TO WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY!

Mashed Up

So yesterday I'm at my cousins apartment rolling up a j. So as we're debating bout their being a black president before Mr.Obama!(Just a lil FYI Obama is the 1st black president) I turn to the TV and M.A.S.H is on. So I switch the subject, cause my cousin's fiance believes the first black president was the actual 1st president before George Washington! Some bullshit he seen on YouTube! And by watching it he becomes a believer and wants to push others beliefs on to others! Sorry folks, but honestly "On April 30, 1789, George Washington, standing on the balcony of Federal Hall on Wall Street in New York, took his oath of office as the first President of the United States." You see the fact there...1789!!! My ancestors were slaves and treated as such with malicious acts, such as hanging! So there is NO WAY a black president could of existed or a black man having freedom! But I'm off subject,So M.A.S.H is on TV and I see a brotha on the show & I was actually surprised cause I had never seen a brotha on M.A.S.H. Not that I watch it cause I find the humor kinda dull and suppressed. But what was said on the show was what really caught my attention! So I hear "We could try to sell the SPEARCHUCKER" Now let me give you a lil bit of background of this scenario! Hawkeye gets a letter from his professor saying he will accept this other character (which is this Asian kid)but the professor needs 2 grand for this kid to enroll and while thinking bout tuition, books, & clothes. This other character makes the suggestion of selling the brotha! OK, so M.A.S.H takes place during the Korean War.So when I hear this I'm offended! but not cause of the word spearchucker but how is the only brotha on this show called that back in between 1972-1983 (which is how long this show lasted)How is he called that during the Korean War when asians where referred as "Gooks". But on this show, they helping this random Asian go to school to become a doctor.I'm not racist, I just don't know whether he was Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, or whatever other kind of decedents! I was just caught off guard! I didn't expect that! I wasn't offended when they was helping the asian boy go to school but to make a remark of selling the ONLY brotha on the show was kinda of racist. Well that was my random rant about nothing significantly important!
